Project status | completed |
Place of implementation | city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur |
Hemodialysis Centre opened in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur; it is a social project of the German company “B. Braun Avitum Rusland” implemented within public private partnership. Types of the dialysis therapy provided by the Centre:
- Hemodialysis
- Hemodiafiltration
- Outpatient nephrological aid
On the first floor are two halls for hemodialysis (one separate for patients with hepatitis), on the second floor – test laboratory. For the Centre there were purchased 15 newest “artificial kidney” apparatuses. Besides high-technology medical apparatuses for hemodialysis and laboratory tests, assembled are a unique room air cleaning system and water treatment plant – it takes a lot of water (500 cub meters per person), since the whole procedure of extrarenal blood purification is based on water.
For patients with chronic renal insufficiency, dialysis is crucial. In 5 hours of the procedure, the apparatus pumps circulating up to 70 liters of blood, eliminating out of the body toxins and excessive water. Dialysis is conducted free of charge; the costs are taken up by the compulsory insurance fund. Free treatment can be provided to 90 people at the same time.
